Uniforms at Great Hearts Christian Academies – Gilbert

Great Hearts Christian Academies have a primary objective of developing a “community of learners,” dedicated to the highest standards of academics and deportment. As such, a distinctive uniform is a unifying factor within the school community. It is also a visible signature of GHCA to the larger community, an indicator of unity and pride of purpose. This is one of the most important functions of a uniform: it identifies its wearer as part of a distinctive group with a distinctive purpose. It is a reminder to its wearer of that purpose and of one’s responsibility to that group.” (Family Handbook is coming soon)

Order Uniforms

Girls Top and Bottom Uniform:

      • Grades K-2: Navy shorts, navy pants, navy or GHCA lower school plaid skorts, and navy or GHCA plaid jumpers. All tops must be the GHCA crested polos (white or light blue). See ‘order uniforms’ button above for full options.
      • Grades 3-5: Navy shorts, navy pants, navy and GHCA lower school plaid skorts. All tops must be the GHCA crested polos (white or light blue). See ‘order uniforms’ button above for full options.
      • Grades 6-8: Khaki shorts, khaki pants, or GHCA upper school plaid skorts. All tops must be the GHCA crested polos (white or navy). See ‘order uniforms’ button above for full options.

Boys Top and Bottom Uniform:

      • Grades K-5: Navy shorts or navy pants. All tops must be the GHCA crested polos (white or light blue). See ‘order uniforms’ button above for full options.

Footwear:

      • Shoe requirements: Solid white OR solid solid black athletic tennis or Keds shoes – this includes sole and shoelaces.
      • Sock requirements: Solid black, blue or white – ankle, crew or knee-high (girls only) length.

Backpacks:

      • Backpacks and lunchboxes must be free of icons of pop culture (peace signs, cartoon characters, tie-dyed patterns etc).
      • Rolling backpacks are not permitted without a doctor’s note.
